Chanel (I'm So Fancy)

History: Chanel came to TAGS from Greyhounds as Pets, New South Wales, Australia. She arrived in the U.S. on February 28, 2023 after a 15-hour flight from Sydney. Chanel has been completely vetted. Her dam is Splash About and her sire is Magic Sprite (Dam/Sire). According to Oz Chase (Australian record keeping) she had 57 races.
April 13, 2023 update: Chanel found her forever home with her temporary foster dad, Don. Congrats to both!
March 15, 2023 update: In Texas she is in a foster home with two other female TAGS Greyhounds and is doing well with them. She has discovered that she loves her crate and comes and goes into it as she pleases. She is a petite girl with a friendly, outgoing personality.
Chanel has so enjoyed living in a home with other greyhounds. She has already been swimming (accidentally) in the pool. She loves her crate and has adjusted to the household routine. She goes for long walks with her housemates and is becoming a pro. She does love the squirrels. They do not have those in Australia.
March 1, 2023 update: Chanel came from Australia to TAGS for a life of retirement and to find her loving lifetime home. TAGS received two dogs from Australia, Onyx and Chanel. They managed very well on their 15-hour flight and are now on a journey to find their forever homes.
The handlers at Greyhounds as Pets said you would never guess that she is 8 years old. She is full of life, loves going for walks, and spending time with her Greyhound friends. She absolutely loves toys, especially if they squeak. She will need time to adjust to pet life and adjust to the Texas weather since it is summer in Australia. Chanel posed for photos at the pet hotel when she was picked up and visited with lots of new people. She rode in the car very well with Onyx.
