Tessa - Adopted November 2, 2024

History:   Tessa is another Australian girl from Greyhounds as Pets, New South Wales.  She arrived in the U.S. via Canada and was transported to Dallas, arriving here on October 3, 2024.  Tessa has been completely vetted.   TAGS will learn more about her pedigree at a later time.  Tessa did not have a racing career and was not individually registered so she does not appear on Greyhound Data. 

The handlers at Greyhounds as Pets said she is an elegant Greyhound with a gentle spirit.  Tessa enjoys  a more relaxed lifestyle filled with love and comfort.  She has a calm demeanor and serene presence. She is happy to interact with anyone and is very friendly.     
Tessa is a little strong on the leash at first but is quick to get into her stride when on a walk.  She is also a big fan of treats.  She would be good with older children, only because of her active and happy temperament. Tessa would make a great addition to most any family.

Tessa has a beautiful, thick brindle coat (some of which she will probably lose) and a striking appearance, with beautiful  eyes.  She's a right-ear-up and left- ear-down gal.   She is a very petite girl.  She is initially in a foster home with two male Greyhounds. 

At her new foster home, Tessa checked out the entire yard and the inside of the house and then went to the bedroom and fell asleep on a dog bed.  Her first night was uneventful as she was still catching up on her zzzz's.  She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle.  Please meet this lovely girl and show her what pet life is all about.
